what Job seekers should be thinking right Now
It’s really
true, that some make the mistake of depending on the Government for everything.
Let’s take Nigerian as a case study. Nigerian being known as the most populated
black country of about 25% of black population in general. Nigerian has a
population of about 180 million citizens. With diverse cultures and tradition.
But the
average citizen depends solely on the government for all. If you doubt me,
visit school, colleges, institutions and you hear them say ‘’ i can’t wait to
be done schooling and then apply for a government job’’. this is the commonly
most heard talk among young people, sorry did i just say young people? Yes even
the old. They are so government oriented that they do not think of the
possibility of owning their own businesses or creating jobs. I discovered
through the years of research that this is a mind deadening disease, and has
been among the top list of the cause of unemployment.
What saddens
me the most is even the so called educated are guilty of this alibi. You see
young and brilliant graduates who should aspire high, doing the reverse by just
focusing on the government job, and is ready to take on any job on the go, with
the excuse of there are no jobs.
Well i think
i discovered the antidote to this disease. “ they should begin to think of how
to create jobs. If people thought this way there will be jobs everywhere, more
than enough jobs. our institutions has failed to teach us the how to make living,
rather they focus on raising bunch of broke graduate. Students should be
thought more on how to apply knowledge instead of teaching them merely
knowledge. The truth is knowledge without application is a bunch of garb.
Citizens should be thought of how to apply knowledge rather than retain
knowledge. It has been said that ‘’knowledge without application amounts to
nothing’’. I hope and believe strongly that after reading, this will be the
turning point of your life. i have studied men and women who influenced their generation
positively, this people where able to do that because they applied knowledge in
their various field of specialization. They didn’t just retain knowledge but
‘’APPLIED KNOWLEDGE’’. What am stressing here is it must be applied for a
change to begin in your life.
Nigerians
should think outside the four walls of school. When your imagination and
ability to think has been fixed within the four walls of an object or thing,
you become blind to other opportunities out there staring at you.
It has been
said that schooling do not make you successful, it only increases the
probability of being successful. This statement is worth reading over and over
again.
I want you
to jot this down, schooling increases the probability of success, but that
doesn’t make you successful. Success comes most often by the maximum
application of knowledge in the right direction. I had to say right direction
because if implemented in the wrong direction would yield nothing.
This should
give hope to the less educated who aspire and taste for greatness. You can earn
that extra income, gain that respect, become that thing you had ever wanted to
be if you can apply knowledge at the maximum and in the right direction.
There are
millions of opportunities outside the four walls of schooling. So Nigerian
citizens should learn to create jobs.
Now some
people are ignorant of the word Education.’’ It means to develop from within’’
and how do you develop, you do that by thinking. When you train your mind in a
way that you can acquire whatsoever you need with the use of your mental power,
you are said to be educated. At the other hand if you cannot you are pretty
much more of an uneducated person.
Let’s assume
the Government are living up to their responsibility, even at that they cannot
solve all our job related issue. The change must take place in us. Even the
United State of America has not been able to provide jobs for all its citizens.
Visit
America and you will see hundred of thousand of well made entrepreneurs,
because they understand these secrets. I
think the average citizen mindset in Africa should be ‘’how can i create jobs?
instead of whom do i work for’’? everything starts from the mind
transformation. If Africans can transform their mindset, they would shock the
world.
It is a fact,
the GDP of a Nation is determined by the number of successful entrepreneurs in
a country and not in the number of Government workers. So for an economy boom
in Nigeria and African as whole more entrepreneurs has to emerge.
I would
conclude by saying ‘’the circumstance doesn’t make the man, the man makes the
circumstance’.
See you at
the Greatness Gallery!!!
these are some of the well known entrepreneurs in the world. learn from then. you too can create jobs, instead of looking for one.
